The Journal of Investment Strategy (JIS) is produced by Financial Standard, a division of Rainmaker Information, and aims to serve as a conduit for theoretical and empirical research from academics and practitioners in the field of investment management.
As a definitive source of reference articles and case studies for the investment management industry in Australia we of course value article submissions from investment professionals, scholars and industry researchers who want to share their work and ideas with their peers.
Reflecting this, JIS articles are sourced from leading practitioners and academics in Australia, as well as the Financial Standard's team of research professionals. The JIS is presented in two sections:
Perspectives
This section showcases the research and analyses of authorities from academia. It offers high quality original research on theoretical and practical issues related to investment management in Australia and will draw on a wide cross section of academic disciplines.
Aspects
This section highlights the research and studies done by investment practitioners in the field. It offers unique discussions and perspectives from the leading minds currently engaged in Australia's investment management industry.
Illustrating the depth of the articles contained in the JIS, this edition includes articles on investment reforms among local councils, why we should invest in renewable energy, a code of conduct for investment managers, why it's time to increase our exposure to hedge funds, how we should analyse the legal aspects of hedge fund fees, how we can use liability based investment strategies in pension funds and why tracking error should only be seen as a crude measure of risk.
If you would like to contribute to future editions of the JIS we warmly encourage you to contact us and we look forward to working with you.
